Zoe told how she has ADHD - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - a common condition that affects people's behaviour.

She told MirrorOnline of her diagnosis and said: "I am ADHD.

"My son [Woody] and I are both, we’re quite similar.

"I make myself laugh sometimes, because if I’m in a small space and I’ve got loads of tasks to do, I can cover so many miles.

Zoe Ball is a famous and rich actress. But, as it turned out, his main source of wealth has nothing to do with cinema.

"My family, they laugh because they’ll find things of mine in certain places and they’re like, ‘If you follow this, you’ll see what mum was trying to achieve.’"

Zoe told how her condition reached its peak during filming of Channel 4 show Taskmaster.

In an episode to be aired on January 2, the Live and Kicking alumni is challenged with working out mathematical timings related to a toaster.

She admitted this caused a meltdown and added: "I have 18 pairs of glasses and I will still lose all of them… my brain is just all over the goddamn shop.

"So a particular task involved a bit of timing, which is maths, which is, again, not a strength, I physically started to melt down.

"That did hurt my head."

Zoe was recently forced to call in sick for her Radio 2 show after contracting Covid.

Gaby Roslin took to the helm earlier this month while Zoe recovered.

Gaby told the listeners: “I am here today because poor all Zoe is not well, get well soon Zoe.

“But you have got me.”

She later added: “She's got Covid. She is gutted not to be here. We were messaging each other yesterday and she is really sorry not to be here.”

Zoe has hosted the Breakfast Show for four years so far after taking over from Chris Evans.
