This Saturday night, the WWE heads to St Petersburg, Florida, for the 38th annual edition of the Royal Rumble.

The show is headlined by the men's and women’s Royal Rumble matches, with the winners going on to headline WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia in April. The matches are the most unpredictable events of the year, with shock returns, big twists, and even the potential appearance of a certain Mr Johnson to look forward to.

Let’s look at how some of the UK’s top bookies think the matches are going to play out and provide our own analysis of the show.

If you are looking for some welcome bonuses that can help give you a boost ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble, check out the following picks for the best Royal Rumble betting offers.

BetUK - £30 in free bets when you bet £10

New customers at BetUK can get their hands on £30 in free bets when they make their first deposit of £10 or more. Players need to sign up and place a £10 with odds of 4/5 or greater within seven days of account activation. Once this has been settled, they will receive three £10 free bets. One for horse racing, one for a bet builder, and one for football. Terms & conditions will apply, and players should read through them thoroughly before attempting to claim the bonus.

Unibet - Up to £40 money back on first bet

Unibet provides new players with the chance to win money back if their first bet loses. Players must wager £10 or more on their first bet at odds of 2/5 or higher. Bets up to £40 that lose will then be refunded as bonus credits, which players will need to work through 3x. Players will also be given a £10 casino bonus.

Ladbrokes - Bet £5, Get £20 in free bets

If you want to get a boost when signing up for sports betting, Ladbrokes could be the operator for you. The popular bookmaker offers players £20 in free bets when you sign up and place a £5 qualifying bet. Players need to place a £5 win or £5 each-way bet at odds of 1/2 or greater to receive the bonus, which is rewarded as 4x£5 bets. If you claim the bonus, be sure to read through the terms & conditions thoroughly first.

CM Punk - Ladbrokes at 4/5

CM Punk is the clear favourite to win this Sunday’s Royal Rumble. The former World Champion has been the talk of the WWE since his return at Survivor Series in November. Punk has been electric on the mic, and his feud with Seth Rollins is leading to an explosive showdown in Philadelphia.

However, I think there is a chance that WWE will swerve us and have Punk win the Elimination Chamber to set up that match. This all depends on whether we get The Rock or Cody facing Roman Reigns at Mania. For now, however, betting on Punk seems the sensible option. You can bet on CM Punk at Ladbrokes at 4/5.

Cody Rhodes - 2/1 at BetUK

The 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes is one of the favourites to win the 30-man extravaganza once again this weekend in Florida. Cody’s whole narrative since his return has been about finishing his story, and winning the Rumble would allow him to set up a rematch with Roman Reigns, the man who robbed him of the belts at WrestleMania 39 in LA last year.

However, I think The Rock vs Roman Reigns is a more attractive proposition for the WWE at WrestleMania and that Cody might have to wait his turn once again. If you think Cody will make it back-to-back wins, you can back him with BetUK at 2/1.

The Rock - 8/1 at William Hill

The Rock returning to WWE at the start of the year got WWE’s year off to a bang, and it also allowed them to tease The Rock vs Roman Reigns at this year’s WrestleMania.

If the WWE is going for that match, then they will need to set it up without putting The Rock in harm’s way before the event. The Hollywood megastar looked a little tired hitting one move in January, so it seems unlikely he will want to compete in the gruelling Elimination Chamber match in February.

As such, if he wants to compete for the title, then the Royal Rumble could be the best way to get him there. He is available at 8/1 with William Hill, which, in my opinion, is excellent value.

Gunther - 6/1 at Unibet

Before CM Punk’s return in November, Gunther looked primed to move into the World Heavyweight scene and compete with Seth Rollins at this year’s WrestleMania. Punk’s return, however, has put the breaks on that, and he now looks set for a big Mania clash elsewhere on the card.

Gunther will get his moment at Mania, with a match with Brock Lesnar heavily rumoured. Personally, I’d love to see him take on John Cena on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Regardless, I don’t see him in the World Heavyweight Championship match. If you think that could still happen, you can back him at 6/1.

LA Knight - 14/1 at Coral

La Knight is the only one of the favourites who is not currently confirmed for the match. The former Max Dupri has come along in the last 12 months and is expected to be one of the company’s most dependable stars throughout 2024. He is already competing in the fatal 4-way match for the Universal Championship earlier in the night, and I expect him to be competing with Logan Paul for the US Title at WrestleMania come April. If you do want to back LA Knight to win the Rumble, you can do so at 14/1 with Coral.

Bayley - 10/11 with Ladbrokes

Bayley’s heel run has been going for nearly five years, and while there is no denying it has had its ups, now feels like the right time to turn her face once again. Damage CTRL’s self-implosion has been teased for some time, and having Bayley win the Women’s Royal Rumble and go on to challenge and ultimately defeat IO Sky at WrestleMania feels like the smart move.

If you think Bayley will win the Royal Rumble, you can back her at 10/11 with Ladbrokes.

Becky Lynch - 4/1 at BetUK

The other woman expected to compete for a title at this year’s WrestleMania is Becky Lynch. Lynch and Rhea Ripley have been teasing a match in recent weeks, and the potential showdown between two of the most dominant women in recent WWE history has WrestleMania written all over it. She is available at 4/1 with BetUK.

For me, Becky should earn her title shot at Elimination Chamber. Having her and Rhea stare down in Australia would be a huge moment for the crowd. She has also already won a Royal Rumble, winning the 2019 edition, so giving it to someone else makes sense.

Jade Cargill - 9/2 at William Hill

Jade Cargill was billed as a megastar when she first signed with the WWE, and if you had asked me three or four months ago who was going to win the Women’s Royal Rumble, she would have been my choice. However, she has been taken off TV for some time and is said to have been training in developmental ahead of her debut.

I think a debut and strong performance in the Rumble could help her set up what promises to be an exciting 2024. However, I don’t see her winning. If you disagree with me and think the WWE will strap a rocket to her back, you can back her at 9/2 with William Hill.

Bianca Belair - 11/1 at Coral

One woman who is never far from the main-event picture in the WWE is Bianca Belair. The EST has an exceptional record in the Royal Rumble, having won in 2021 and endured 48 minutes in the ring in the 2022 edition.

Bianca has every reason to want a shot at Io Sky at WrestleMania, but I personally think she will use the Rumble to set up a big feud for the show, potentially with Jade Cargill. If you think she might become the first two-time women’s winner, you can back her at 11/1 with Coral.

Sasha Banks - 14/1 at Unibet

If you’re feeling really speculative ahead of this year’s Royal Rumble, then a bet on Sasha Banks at 14/1 could be for you. The former Women’s Champion is currently the fourth favourite with most bookmakers. Personally, I don’t see her returning to the WWE, with AEW being a more likely destination. However, it is the Royal Rumble, and you can never fully rule out a surprise return. Even if she does return, I can’t see her having her hand lifted at the end of the night.

If you think that might happen, you can bet on Sasha Banks to win the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble at 14/1 with Unibet.
